“While it might seem odd to be guided through a walk through
the woods, it's actually really valuable. Having someone who can
put you at ease and give you the prompting to really contemplate
the natural world rather than just moving through it is very
different from just a run of the mill hike. Especially in the modern,
hyper-stimulated world where everything that isn't work or
constructed entertainment can feel interstitial at best. A forest
walk can really provide the framework to get into the proper
headspace to actually destress and slow down. What you notice
when you have the opportunity to really slow down and
appreciate the natural world will pleasantly surprise you.”
